Salem's Lot

I have just finished this book. I thought it was a great story. Sure it had flaws specially in the begining where he could have been more smooth when he let you get to know the people of the Lot.

Even before things started happening there was this mood i liked. This "nice" small town and that house. When things happened it scared me i wont lie about it. Cause you got to know the people and some you really liked and hoped they would make it but one after one....

He is great at writing the creepy scenes, his prose annoys you something cause it lacks skill but not in those scenes.

Characters i liked most Mark Petrie and Matt Burke. Mark i thought several times, " this kid has balls of steal " First i thought he is a kid he doesnt know how to be really afraid of what was happening but then he took with him a gun and went after Barlow. Hehe what he did to Straker, cool kid.

This was my first true SK book and it made me a fan and if other works are this good or even better than i look forward to reading them.

He is not even close to being one of the best writers i have read but he is a great storyteller!
