Cool Re: Karen Miller

Hi Seanie!

I've just registered and can't find the introductions forum, so if I'm not being rude I'll say my welcomes here.

I think you did Karen credit by your descriptions Seanie. Well done!

For those of you who haven't read any of Karen Miller's work, I think you'll be more than mildly surprised. She's a refreshing writer that writes from the hip, and carries across excellent imagery to the reader. In the first of her duology, The Innocent Mage she has cast a solid mix of characters that are vivid and well animated. They drive the plot, which is simple yet delicate (unlike my own which always seem to be intrigue bound and delivered) and impacts nicely with subtle side plots.

I can't say enough about this author without sounding like a preview, which is not my intent. My son put her book in my bookshelf a year ago and I've only just picked it up and read it. Better late than never. And I'm so glad I did read it. I'm sure if you can secure one of her books, you will have a really good and enjoyable time. Happy reading.
