Of course, writing is fun. Even when I have to do it. Yes, it can get frustrating. Yes, it is difficult sometimes. But even when I'm working against deadline (I do get paid for writing, and I have a deadline every day, Monday through Friday), even when my research sources aren't coming through for me when I need them to (my work writing requires the use of information that is updated daily), even when I'm trying to find the right word and every other word but that word is coming into my mind...I'm having fun, because I'm doing the one thing I'm really good at and one of the things I most enjoy doing.
Someone mentioned not enjoying writing, but enjoying having written...I enjoy the actual process of writing way more than I enjoy having written. I like the feeling of accomplishment of having completed a writing project, of course. But actually working on it, including planning and research as well as the actual writing, is much more fun for me. |
