Re: Deathly Hallows - who's going to die?

Perhaps a valid question is, if I were JKR, writing a book FOR KIDS, would I kill off an important character, perhaps most the most magically gifted wizard in the canon, at an enormously important point to allow Snivellus to worm his way into Voldemort's circle (i.e. politics), OR, would I use a traditional literary bluff that the kids will probably not have seen before, to make a hugely positive and helpful reappearance (of an influential and powerful ally) at a critical moment in the final book (and still have helped Snape get into Voldemort's circle)?
