Just finished listening to both series on audiobook. I've read both several times and I enjoy Martin's work much more than Tolkein at this point.

edit: I tried to start a new thread, but it's waiting for moderator approval. Anyway, I found what could be a publish date for ADWD - April 2008. Search Amazon UK. I'm not sure if this is old news or not.
