Favourite Race

I was just wondering what Race were people's favourites throughout the Arc?

With many races travelling through the story, there are plenty to choose from.

Happy polling

Re: Favourite Race

Interesting question, ast. I went for Centauri in the end because 'as a race' I enjoyed their story the most as portrayed through Londo & Vir.
Nice to see the Drakh, Brakiri & Drazi get a mention as the 'lesser' races (lesser as in screentime & characterisation), but as you never had a main character in their point of view, I wasn't able to 'get under their skin much.

Having said that, I regard the Babylon 5 series as being a story-telling journey about how individual characters can affect the flow of history, rather than how as "avatars" of their race, they can drive them. Although you could successfully argue that G'Kar, Delenn & Londo do precisely that for their races - Delenn & G'Kar especially

I look forward to seeing more of your thoughts on this series.

Re: Favourite Race

Hard to choose. I like Centauri and Narn tragedies but I wouldn't live in thier societies, I prefer the Minbari one. So, I think I will vote for it. And Valen, what a good idea ! I hope one day there would be a serie about the story of Valen.

The Shadows were awesome especially their spider-like ships.

I had to vote for Brakhiri, as we never saw their homeworld, and they had funny noses. The Brakhiri always seemed to have a good life.

I'll be a patriot. Humans, of course. At least, our race saved everyone, and we are the most... different inside species.

And we are the fastest - for two hundred years from nothing to glory and power!

I voted for Drazi They are cute, funny and above all else really represent some conflicts at their barest and silliest.

Re: Favourite Race

I voted Narn.

It was not just because of G'Kar, although he was a major factor in my choice, but because of the way they were portrayed - and the whole look of them, there was just something special about the whole body suit thing.

There was somethign special in a race that was peaceful, being twisted to violence by their domination by the Centauri (twice) and then finding a spiritual awakening!
