I would say JKR is fantasy to people that dont read fantasy.

Which is an ignorance stance, looking down on a genre only cause you see a YA book that is overhyped.

Here in sweden JKR is the most mainstream to people that dont read fantasy or even books thanks to Harry Potter. Paolini is pretty unknown here, he is known only to fantasy readers and YA readers. He isnt known to everybody like JR.

The only person to ever say a good thing about his books to me is my little younger brother that likes Eragon despite he too thinks its too clichè
