Re: Gigs...

Being the poor student that I am means I can't afford to see many bands this year.

However I am seeing Hundred Reasons on Tuesday 21st March seeing as they are doing a promotional gig in the local FOPP store near me.
And then I have tickets to see Taking Back Sunday on the 21st May ... for like the 3rd time.

I really wanna see Fall Out Boy ... but they are playing in Brixton Academy and I just cant get back there in time to see them. Sucks majorly!!!!

OH MY GOD. OH MY GOOOODDDD. i officially hate you. Gogol Bordello are only one of my most favouritest bands right now! they're on the list of bands i'm psychically willing to get their butts down to Australia. i just love GB, i was so excited when i found their music, because it's just so unique and different to anything else on the market right now. sigh. also on the list are System of a Down and Rammstein. COME TO AUSTRALIA PLEASE!!!

my list of gigs i've been to

The Screaming Jets w/ The Baby Animals
Take That (*dies* how embarrassing!)

AT BIG DAYS OUT:

Supergrass
Shonen Knife
The Living End
Powderfinger
Korn
Soundgarden
Hole
Marilyn Manson
(there are more but those are the one's that i recall straight away)

Reel Big Fish
Manson again
Robbie Williams twice - 2001 and 2003
Christina Aguilera
Velvet Revolver
INXS (with JD Fortune)

hmm i think i'm forgetting a couple though.

You sound like you've seen a lot of bads so I don't feel to guilty. To rub it in however, they were fantiastic live, probably one of my favorite gigs ever.

Saw Greenday in the summer and they were fantastic too.

I hope that Muse do tour sometime, they're probably one of the main remaining (current) bands that I'd like to see live but haven't seen yet.

I've never seen Feeder headlining, but I did seem them supporting R.E.M. in Hyde Park last year, they were good fun, "Buck Rogers" particularly.

Bands I've seen live (mostly playing in London or Cambridge in the last couple of years):
R.E.M. (twice)
Manic Street Preachers (twice)
Teenage Fanclub (three times)
Travis (twice)
Coldplay
Franz Ferdinand (twice)
Weezer
Idlewild
Super Furry Animals
Belle and Sebastien
They Might Be Giants
The Kaiser Chiefs

Re: Gigs...

I just found out that Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young are coming to Fresno on July 23. Not sure when tickets go on sale, but I'll be there if I possibly can. I'll spend the money on this one, as I've been a fan for a long time (way longer than some of you have been on the planet, actually).

I've seen Neil Young with Crosby and Nash as special guests. I've seen Crosby, Stills and Nash. I've seen Crosby and Nash. I even got the opportunity to meet David Crosby before the CSN show, and for all his reputation as being kind of a jerk, he was quite gracious to me. BUT...I've never gotten to see CSNY all together on the same stage on the same night.

Now, if Young can avoid getting pissed off and quitting, and if Crosby can manage to stay out of trouble, maybe I'll finally get to see them all at once. Keep your fingers crossed.
