Heh, the LOTR movies were far better paced than the incredible dreariness that are the books. All three of them should've been edited into one novel - just getting rid of every description of each tree, hill and brook that the characters travel through would probably do that.
Saying that I never bothered to watch the third film, the story just doesn't do anything for me - I gave up on the third book partway through Frodo and Sam's interminable travels through Mordor. |
