Well, as you didn't specify it had to be sff related, there's always Whit Burnett's (ed.) This Is My Best, in which 93 of the greatest living (at that time) writers picked 150 pieces they considered to be their best work. It's a huge tome, and has everything from short stories to essays to selections from novels. It went through numerous printings, so you may be able to find it fairly easily.
