New site design! - Science Fiction Fantasy Chronicles: forums

Ahem - it was a very spontaneous decision.

I was going to reserve Gnome's graphic (top left) for the alternative-worlds site - but I knew that the previous design for the forum was simply horrible: I love dark reds, but I needed something that really said "science fiction and fantasy forums!" - and this is precisely what the new design does.

I'm going to play it by ear - I figure there are ways to really improve the site design - so feel free to give feedback on what you like and do not like.

Feel free to experss your thoughts.

And apologies if you think you've suddenly entered a completely different site!

PS - All hail to Gnome for constructing the header logo image at the top left.

Much appreciated Gnome - you've added immeasurably to the look of these sites with a careful and considered graphical vision. A public thanks and applause for you from myself.

Gnome bowed deeply and acknowledge the accolade. He raised his hands as if to stop the applause, wincing as he did in mock pain as if it were all too much.

If the Sci-fi look was what you were going for then you did a pretty good job. Only problem I have is that the menu is kinda on the tiny side. Could just be my computer but, yea it's small. Other than that, keep up the good work.

Glad things are fine on that account. As for the menu bar - definitely got to re-evaluaet that one. Mainly for the search engines, actually, but I should take into consideration much more the human user.

Brian, I'm not sure if this is new or something I never noticed before but at the bottom of the page you have a warning:

WARNING: misuse of site content may result in a galactic implosion or alien invasion

I must protest that your warning only includes dangers from the scifi genres and does not in fact warn against all possible dangers. Swarms of pixies, Dragon fire, Pooka hauntings, banshees and the like should be warned against too!
