Well, I'm in the UK, but this information can be useful to American or English writers. In fact, I think one of the main differences between the two languages (other than the obvious spelling) is that Americans tend to convert British adverbs into adjectives. In England we'd say something like "I walk quickly", whereas in America they'd say "I walk quick" -- or so I've heard anyway, whilst reading stuff online. I've never been out the country, so I can't confirm this however. But, yes, in general, this info will help
all writers.
