"The White Ship" Online Comic

Hello everyone,

Forgive the self-promotional post, but I'm doing an online comic adaptation of Lovecraft's "The White Ship". It'll be updated Wednesday and Friday (America time) at this site:

http://www.girlamatic.com/series.php...f&view=current

Ignore the big "The Stiff" banner across the top... that's a holdover from my online comic "The Stiff", which is normally on the site. (I'm putting it on hold for a little while to do some Lovecraft.)

If this comic works out, I may do adaptations of "Celephais" and "The Strange High House in the Mist."

Thanks for reading,

Jason

Sounds interesting.

Having read the White Ship amongst a number of other Lovecraft's stories and poems, I'll be interested to see how you translate this to a comic format, not that this is a foreign medium to Lovecraft fans of course.

Re: "The White Ship" Online Comic

Jason is an old hand at this Lovecraftian comic thing and I have the utmost faith in his ability to translate HPL's prose into graphic imagery. In fact, he may be much better equipt to do this in drawn pictures than filmmakers are in their medium. Lovecraft's prose abounds with tiny gem-like flashes of verbal pictures, and this is what Jason is good at mining for visual cues. Jason's Dream-Quest was wonderful and I'm thrilled to hear that he's pressing forward with more of the same.
