Technovelgy.com Hi all - I just put up a site that has about 550 science fiction inventions from various science fiction authors (mostly classic sf but also Gibson, Sterling, Stephenson, etc.). For example, I have an entry for "nanofax" by William Gibson; a quote that mentions it from the book and some material about a real-life nanofax technology: stereolithography. I'd be very interested to hear any comments that you might have about my site. I've loved science fiction (sf, speculative fiction, scientifiction, call it what you will) since I read Jules Verne as a child. This is just a slightly different way to connect both the literature and the science of the genre. Anyway, please take a look at www.technovelgy.com and let me know what you think! Thanks!

Probably nothing better than spam - but there is actually the possibility that the site will be useful to members here, so I'll move it to the Writer's Section in case it can serve as a useful resource.

It looks like an interesting site - but in terms of netiquette you are committing a spamming faux pas. If you would like to play an active part in the chronicles-network then that's great - I'm sure it would be great to have you on board, and feel free to link to your site in your signature. However, it's not good form to enter a site, post a self-promotional link, and then expect people to comment on it within that site - because most people will not comment on something that looks like spam. Best to keep feedback particular to the form on your own site, until you're a little bit more established as a member here - when your new friends I'm sure would love to give friendly and helpful comment if asked...at some later date. Until then, thread closed.
