Re: One sitting

Have seen all three EE's back-2-back one Saturday sometime ago, but I must admit to cheating a little by Fast Forwarding some of the boring bits (anything to do with the Ents primarily)

Re: One sitting

No offense but isn't that a complete waste of time!

Think about it! Nothing's being accomplished other than entertainment and there are far better ways of entertainment.

Also, movie marathons have MANY health side effects

Re: One sitting

been there, done it, got the T-shirt.
you need to make sure you have food stocks high, have no interuptions - pull out the phone cable! turn off the mobile!

in other news, you think this is long, I have done this is complete anime series on DVD - wolf's rain, ghost in the shell miniseries, bebop, and some I have watched one after the other........ and I don't have to work out to keep thin (though I probably should to keep muscles working)

You remind me of my ninth grade English teacher. She gave us an assignment called "Been There, Done That, Got the T-shirt".

I had to make a T-shirt summarizing the plot, characters, important quotes, and themes of an outside-of-class reading book.

We got to pick and I picked Eldest. It was an easy book and it really was kind of short with the big print and large spaces. However, the main reasons I chose it was because I read Eragon for my summer reading project and the teacher instructed us to pick a light hearted book. The most interesting part about the project was that one student used the Genesis book of the Old Testament. He stated that it was by Moses :laugh2:

Re: One sitting

Been there, done that!

It's almost three years ago now, when I watched the EEs back-to-back with a friend. Took about 11.5 hours altogether. We didn't have dinner or potty breaks, but both of us had seen the movies several times, so we picked some less intriguing scenes for those. I had cooked some food beforehand, so all we had to do was heat it in the microwave. This are made easier by the fact that I live in a one-bedroom apartment, with the kitchen and living-room being in one space. So the microwave's about two feet from the TV.

Last year I watched them over two days at my bf's place in another town. He has a projector system giving a screen diagonal of about 100".

Re: One sitting

Watched the extended versions with Meera my kitten as a way of welcoming the new year. We took a break to watch the fireworks from the balcony and drink Amarula. It was a good way to see the year in.

Re: One sitting

I did the all-dayer (or all-nighter in my case) quite unintentionally, really. The Fellowship of the Ring was shown on tv one night (not the extended version alas, so I have got to do it all again once day with the extended version of the first film included) and that finished at about midnight. Then I still in a Lord of the Rings mood so I watched the Two Towers straight after. Then I thought "ah, to hell with it, let's watch the third one, too!" So I did. And it was pretty early in the morning when it finally ended

I've done that several times with both the Theatrical and EE versions. I love it. I do it when I'm off of work (overnight) or when I'm getting micro-braids put in my hair (8-16 hour process). These movies will keep you from getting bored. I also do this with other movies, like Star Wars (original 3), Blade, and X-Men. It is fun to do and the time will fly!!!!
