Woooooo! Richard Hatch!!

Not compelling analysis there but I was so pleased to see him appear in this franchise and as (what appears to be) a recurring character - and a pretty damn dark one at that!
Anyway, it was a good episode. I had wondered how they were going to mine the source of water they found. The political intrigue in this episode was interesting, as was Commander Adama's willingness to endanger his son's life by authorising a strike so soon. I actually thought that was slightly odd - you would imagine a father would be a bit more hesitant but that's not the military way I suppose.
Was nice to see some of Apollo's "gee whiz" naivete take a battering in this episode too - a character step to a harder nosed Apollo in the future perhaps?
