| Re: Comfort Food... It is sometimes called clarified butter I think. Which sounds very laboratory-like. It is just ordinary butter which has been heated until it bubbles, and the salt turns it black and it is traditionally used as a sauce with grilled fish. "Sole in black butter sauce." It smells amazing. An antidote to any thunderstorm you could think of. |

| The Wicked Sword Maiden | Re: Comfort Food... I usually get a real Vintage cheese with a very strong flavour. Wonderful with sliced ham in toasties or on crackers. I often grate some of it and mix with parmesan to put on top of a spaghettie bolognoise. Mind you, I'm a bit like Alien up there, the Gorgonzola is particularly nice. | Re: Comfort Food... Dinner was all right tonight- chicken kiev- so I'm not too hungry. I just feel sort of weird cos I'm stuck in my rom on my own, but as I need to get up early tomorrow to work it's no bad thing. |
