| Re: Best duel of the saga Qui-Gon and Obi Wan versus Darth Maul was the best. no dialogue to spoil it, the tension of waiting by the gates and it all set to Duel of Ftaes score was amazing |

![]() I think I liked Grevious's "demonstration" with all those lightsabers. It was quite.... interesting to see Obi Wan, with only one saber, casually deflect and then sever two of those limbs. But my favourite I think is Yoda. Exquisite and beautiful.

| Re: Best duel of the saga Definitely Luke Vs Vader in The Empire Strikes Back. Their duel in ROTJ was very good too, but slighty over the top. Empires was much more low key.. I'll always love the bit where Vader kicks him down the stairs then jumps/floats after him. |

| When I saw Episode I, I thought the Qui-gon & Obi-wan vs. Darth Maul duel was one of the finest pieces of fight choreography I'd ever seen. "Duel of the Fates" went along way to making it unforgettable. That being said, I was blown away by the sheer energy of the Obi-wan vs. Anakin duel in Episode III. I can remember seeing some footage of the actors practicing before the film came out, which whetted my appetite for the real thing. The fact that they went that fast in real-time is astounding. Definitely the winner for me. As a die-hard OT fan, I have to give props to the Luke vs. Vader duels in V and VI. The part where Vader toys with Luke by flingin' boxes and whatnot at him left a strong impression on me as a kid. Now I want to go pop the movies in and watch 'em. (Thank goodness Lucas released the theatrical cuts of the OT. I'd still be on the VHS otherwise. ^_^; ) |

| Re: Best duel of the saga Beyond any doubt, Yoda vs. Dooku. I wish I could say Grievous vs. the 6 (5 if not counting the padawan who tried to cut and run) jedi in clone wars, but it isn't a duel. Anakin vs. Asajj Ventress was a pretty sweet duel as well. Then again the last two weren't an official part of the saga either. |

| Re: Best duel of the saga I liked: 1. Luke vs Vader in ESB 2.Dooku vs Anikan and Obi -- it was one of the few Obi duels where he didn't often turn his back on the enemy. Yeesh, anyone could have killed him in most of the others. The duel during the battle of Naboo was cool, but Ray Park was noticeably holding back because the other two had difficulty keeping up with the choreography. Still, I was on the edge of my seat. I won't lie. |

I liked it until the end, which completely ruined it by suddenly having Darth Maul transform into someone else completely idiotic and incompetent for no reason.
