Eastercon - Concussion (2006) Anyone here intending to go to Concussion in Glasgow - 14-17 April 2006? I've just sent off my cheque to join. It's £50 for the 4 days at the moment, which is not bad value for money. http://www.eastercon2006.org/

Re: Eastercon - Concussion (2006) I want to, but haven't booked yet. More likely to now, as I just found out the person I was going to Worldcon with next autumn is now not likely to be going, which leaves me wondering I'll be going.. I have to get to at least one, and Eastercon is an awful lot closer!

Re: Eastercon - Concussion (2006) March is knocking at the door and Eastercon is not far away. I must say, I'm looking forward to this event as one of the highlights of my year. I hope that I'll get to see a few more Chronicles people there.

Re: Eastercon - Concussion (2006) It appears that I'm going to be a panel member on the 'Promoting Yourself' panel. I wonder why they chose me for that one! I'm also on the panel for 'War of the Wells' a discussion on future defense issues facing the modern world. That one should prove an interesting debate. For anyone who is looking to attend, I'd love to get to meet you. I'll be sharing a stand in the Dealers' Room with Freda Warrington/Immanion Press and I imagine that I'll be there for quite a lot of the time that I'm not involved in talks and other events. It would be great to meet more Chronicles members at Concussion.

Re: Eastercon - Concussion (2006) I've got the hotel booked, though I've just realised I did that, but didn't join the actual event - I'd better do that now! And I'll stop by your stand Mark - always good to meet people in real life. Are they going to have the same sort of real ale bar that was had at last year's worldcon? If so, I may mostly be there... ![]()

Re: Eastercon - Concussion (2006) I believe a Liverpool group has a bid in for next year. Not sure if there are any more. That would suit me better, not such a long train journey. I will be travelling for over 6 hours by car/train on the Thursday. Impossible to get there on the Friday for the start. Still will be worth it. I have saved and worked towards this weekend since last October.

Re: Eastercon - Concussion (2006) It's not actually a local group organising it, it just happens to be the location the organisers have picked. Unfortunately for them, a lot of us who like going to Eastercons don't like the Adelphi Hotel any more.
