I wholeheartedly agree. Not even pretending to understand the whole text messaging phenomenon myself, this rule makes sense to me. As a new member, though, please forgive any blunders.
I tried to respond earlier, and my response was rejected, because I inadvertently used a smiley. I didn't know smilies were considered a link. This (the notion that smilies constitute a link) was not explained in the above rules.
I'm sorry if the attempt to express agreement with a sense of humor is considered to be "self promotion." It was not intended as such. As I've said, I don't even pretend to understand the whole phenomenon of text messaging. Whole words show thought, and thought is where ideas begin.
