How many people have forgotten that Harry Potter is a young adult book? Prior to that the first two were children's books.
It should not be compared with the grim adult works of GRRM, Erikson, Donaldson and so on.
The question is how does and did it compare with other YA fiction both fantasy and otherwise when it first began to gather momentum? |
