In the scientific world there is The Red-Shift Effect of Light - though for day to day living it is another matter entirely !

We should also have The Red-Light Effect of Traffic Lights : whenever you get lost while driving your car and desperately want a red-traffic light so you can stop and check your road directory, THAT RED LIGHT WILL NEVER COME. The light will remain green for as long as you remain lost. This effect also applies if you need a tissue from the glove box because there's something hanging out of your nose that looks like a special effect from a movie.

rosemary only women get lost men know where they are and where there going but just don't know how to get there
