Deffinately Baker, he was trying to be true to the character. The reason he left was because of a dispute with the producers. He felt the direction they were taking the doctor's character was all wrong... Aka McCoy's version, rather than Pertwee's.
My problem with Sylvester McCoy and Sophie Aldred was that they had both already done a lot of young children's programmes before Dr Who.
In McCoy's case, he brought too much of the persona he had used in his previous jobs. Which made his interpretation of the doctor way too childish, like he was dumbing the doctor down and aiming more for the pre teen market, ignoring the older fans.
