Re: Rome vs Sparta

The Thespians surrendered (on the second day), there were 350-500 Thracians who withdrew on direct orders after the first day,....and there were only max. 5-7000 troops (from various other cities) which were ordered to leave by Leonidas, the Thessalonians (all 1000) refused to leave (until the final day..the third day), but the 300 were the ones at the pass who took the full brunt of the Medes, the Sythians and the Immortals. The immortals tried twice and were completely beaten badly (on the second day..twice). Brian nice try but there are persian texts available that prove these facts which correlate to the greek texts as well.

Spartucus proves that if you were brutal enough the romans folded. Hey but what the heck....roma was founded by Aneasus who if I remember correctly feld with his remaining force (from Troy) and some woman and children from Troy (which was by the way a Greek colony). So when you look at it.. the greeks always fought the greeks (hard).
