Okay, I'll back off. Sorry to cause any tension, I just didn't understand at first... I guess it makes sense now, you just need to understand that there will never be an exact replica of the book translated into film, and Peter Jackson did a good job for what he had. He
loves the books, and created a loving translation for the movies to get a generation interested in the books.
Just as you feel the need to vent your feelings of anger/disappointment/frustration, I feel the need to show how much I liked the movies. I respect your opinion, I just didn't completely understand it until you said "How would you feel if you saw the greatest book you have ever read being decimated on the big screen?" That put it into perspective for me, and I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings Paige. I'm just one to share my opinion.
