Hey - as long as it wasn't Stephen Sommers - the CGI can't have gone too far overboard!

Anyway - yes, the plot is weak, but at least you could find the plot. So many movies even THAT isn't possible.
See - I haven't read the comics, so I don't know a lot about the X-Men plot lines, so that didn't really bother me. Though, the whole "The Phoenix is a separate personality in Jean's head" thing threw me a little.
I guess I just understand why it was done the way it was - b/c from what I know of the saga from the comics (from X-Men fan friends) - it would've taken a lot longer than 90 minutes to do it justice.
