Re: Hello everyone

Hmm... A little hard to write since the straight-jacket's a little too tight...

You're right, this is an addictive place, but seems great. I'm sure I'll be here often...

I'm not sure how to translate my book's name into english - the direct translation would be "Kin to Pitch-Black Dragons". It's only in finnish but I've translated some pages myself and could some day post them here for you to read. My web pages are in finnish (under translation), too, but there are some nice pictures and maps at www.sysilouhi.com.

Yes, Tolkien did like finnish mythology and Kalevala, too Scandinavian mythology is very close to my heart and a fantastic source for inspiration.

Thanks ... Call me crazy but I'd prefer Gollum's basement, it's cooler there and I like the shade more

So you only like children's lit that comes from Finland?? Just kidding, I've had my mind in grammar and such all morning and this jumped out at me. Pardon me for picking apart your post. Normally I'm much more polite and allow people time to get used to the place before I start running them off with nit picking grammar errors...especially when those who have made the errors are writing in a language that isn't their first (which I suspect in your case since you are from Finland).

No, english is really not my first language so I'm very sorry about the mistakes , hopefully it's understandable though.

Just a quick note to the Grammar cop, should'nt that be grammatical errors, these errors AND which I suspect is applicable/likely in your case since you are from Finland, although I can now see how your wording for the latter is probably still OK...

I'm not sure if running them off is a valid phrase here either. I probably would've said something along the lines of running them out of town...

Please explain to us novices...

So Auer, can you provide us with some of the names of Finnish fantasy authors??
