Re: Superhero Showdown: Wolverine VS Batman I say Wolvie...despite being a huge fan of bats. As pointed out earlier in this thread, Wolverine CAN be a major strategist if needed. When he confronted Mariko's father (Shingen), he was beaten senseless in a beserker rage. Upon controlling this and using his disipline, he beat the man. But when he couldn't beat Ogun, his own mentor, he let the beserker take over and won the fight. So Wolverine, while appearing a vicious ball of fur at first, DOES have the capacity to think out his situation. BUT the bottom line comes down to the fact that if Batman did get the upperhand, he wouldn't finish Logan off, enabeling Wolverine to heal from any beating and then the clawed one (Bone or Adumantium) wouldn't hesitate to pierce that famous bat symbol on the chest of a certain Mr Wayne... My opinion anyway. Now Sabretooth Vs Killer Croc may be a tad more entertaining!

Re: Superhero Showdown: Wolverine VS Batman Argh! This is a difficult question, as these are two of my favorite characters in comics. There's no question that Wolvie would have the edge with his raw damage-dealing capability and healing. I guess it comes down to whether or not Batman is expecting the fight, and which Batman we're talking about. Standard 60's Batman? He deserves to lose - I can't stand the camp batman of old. Frank Miller's batman? Hell, he took on Superman, and won. He has tools galore (including chemical weapons), thinks damn quick on his feet, and packs a surprising punch. The Dark Knight would win as long as he was expecting the fight. If he wasn't, it'd depend on what he was carrying at the time. ![]() Oh yeah - someone posted something about having seen batman kill plenty of times. Can you name any? I can't think of any offhand.

Re: Superhero Showdown: Wolverine VS Batman I have to admit that at first, I though physically Batman is just outmatched. Wolverines liner combat style, never give up attitude, and indestructible nature had me convinced that the bat would be practice dummy for wolverine. Then someone mentioned that batman had beaten superman, the only way he could do that was by exploiting sups weakness. What's Wolverine's weakness.. (aside from the numerous character flaws). Turns out adamantium is at lease some what magnetic. How long dose it take Mr. Wain to figure out and exploit that weakness. Personally I have to say not long enough. Despite being over matched, I thing the bat is quick of wit enough to bait wolverine into a electromagnet. Where in the end they would probably sort out their differences and come to some kind of mutual respect, an uneasy one I'd bet. Last edited by Paladin; 9th May 2009 at 10:54 PM..
