Anyway, wasn't expecting much of the Atlantis pilot but was pleasantly surprised with what I got. Plot-wise, sorta predictable, but I had fun with it. THe characters are engaging - I like Sheppard quite a bit and McKay has come into his own now that he's not snarking with Sam (but I bet he misses her
).
The Wraith reminded me of Marilyn Manson in one of his videos, but on closer examination, I kept thinking of that NYC socialite with more money than brains who had her face altered into a lion type appearance. No joke. She really looks freakish and all they'd have to do is dab on make-up, no prothestics, for her to do a role in SG1 or SGA!
I like the uniforms now - and the fact that they may actually be out of uniforms (as in civilian type clothes). So we won't have OD green 24/7. I hope they show more exploration of the base, as it's huge, and maybe they'll go to a planet without fir trees (we can pray).
Shame Robert Patrick's character got killed, but then you could see 'red shirt' written on him a mile away ...
