Looks nice - interesting that the focus is in the title writing.

Thanks for the feedback Dwndrgn and Brian. Glad you like it. The focus will be in the title writing on all of the books in this series. I'm hoping to make the 'A' of assassin into a wolf-spider (tarantula) for the next book.

Indeed. Like Magical Trevor, but better

The prospect of this story is very promising I'd buy it!

Magical Trevor! Now there's a name I haven't heard in a while.

I'm not actually kidding when I say the spider is magical, but then it is also not real. The spider is a silver talisman which acts as a transporting device when touched against a special base unit.

Re: Imperial Spy

Looks cool!! Can't wait to get inside. If you don't mind my asking, was the main character's name inspired by a certain actress? I only ask because if I see anything close to that name I immediately hear her saying "Onatopp."

No, Femke was a young girl I met at a booksigning in Cheltenham a few years ago. I asked her if she didn't mind me using her name for a character in one of my stories and look what happened. I get quite a lot of names this way. I'm not even sure which actress you're referring to, though the name looks like something from Austin Powers... would I be close?

Re: Imperial Spy

Actually I was referring to Famke Janssen, she played a Russian pilot in the James Bond film "Goldeneye" and also plays Jean Gray in the X-Men movies. The character in "Goldenye" was named (forgive spelling) Xonia Onatopp. And since Austin Powers is a James Bond spoof, I supppose you would be close, within a mile at least. :-)

Got your order, Rune - thanks. I've signed and 'lined' the book, and dated it with the publication date, which is still a few weeks away yet. I'm told by serious collectors that this is the way to have a book signed if given a choice. By writing the first line of the book under the signature in my own handwriting, it apparently increases the potential value of the book to collectors. Sounds a bit geeky to me!

I'm just seeking permission from S & S to release all the pre-orders. Should be any day now.

Re: Imperial Spy

GOT MY COPY IT'S HERE IT'S JUST ARRIVED

Sorry, needed to share my excitement. Liked the signature Mark, at first I thought it referred to you
Then I remembered you mentioning it was the first line of the book.

Will start a thread to discuss as soon as I can get it read.
