Neil Gaiman's Sandman

the Sandman series was really good and it had all of my brothers and sisters in it and it had about when destruction went away but it never said why i became delirium but i forget if i was ever delight before

but that doesn't matter because here is a nice doggy and oh look at all the pretty butterflies

Delirium was a great character, wasn't she?

Yep, but Death was/is the One.

Delirium was interesting, but it did my head in trying to read the damn font.

It was a great range of characters, really - and Death was definitely great as well. I had a soft spot for Delirium's drifty logic, though.

Yes. I liked the sequence, "A Game of You" I think, which focussed a lot on her.

It's incredible though, looking at Brian's post how many teen-girl bloggers today seem to follow Delirium's typing, colour and thought patterns, although it's a fair bet few of them have read the Sandman comics.

I liked how Dream's speech was also distinctive - always white text on black. It was especially cool in the story about the baby who wanders into the realm of dreams, where Abel tells a story and Dream and Death are drawn in this chubby-li'l-kid cartoon style, and Death's speech bubbles are still white-on-black!
