| Re: Suggestions: Aug. Fantasy Would a short story collection work? my vote would be Asimov's Buy Jupiter and Other Stories but one of Ursula Le Guin or Philip K. Dick's collections would have plenty of discussion value as well. |

| Re: Suggestions: Aug. Fantasy I don't know those collections but I'd think that both the Dick and Asimov collections would have to go under the scifi heading. I'd think that collections would lend themselves especially well to discussions so I'll put those two up under the scifi heading. Thanks! Now, how about some fantasy?? I'll choose an Ursula Le Guin title and add that but we need some others. Whatcha got? |

| Goblin Princess | Re: Suggestions: Aug. Fantasy I've been wishing there could be more discussion around here of one of my favorite writers, Patricia A. McKillip. She's a World Fantasy Award winner, and some of her early books (The Forgotten Beasts of Eld, and The Riddlemaster trilogy) had a big influence on the fantasy field thirty years ago. Yet her style remains unique and her stories never fit neatly into any of the fantasy sub-genres. So I'm going to suggest her latest book Od Magic, which just came out this summer. |
