WARNING, SPOILERS!

Just watched it on DVD this weekend and boy was I disappointed. I cannot understand the incredibly ludicrous changed that were made, nor the number of mistakes, nor the dullness between the repetitive fight scenes, nor the hype that was surrounding the movie.

I just could not wait for it to end! I mean, sequels are almost always just remakes of the original, but to do it so blatantly??? Maryjane and Aunt May kidnapped/assaulted AGAIN? Spidey revealing his identity to the bad guy AGAIN? Bad guy struggling with conflicting emotions...AGAIN?

Biggest problems I had with the film:

1. Spidey seems to have a selective spider sense at times...sometimes it works...sometimes it dont...granted it could have been because of his other powers failing...but somehow I do not think the guys in charge thought that far ahead.

2. Doc Oc talking to his tentacles? What the hell? Since when? That was just stupid, they are just arms...it was more cool to think of them as extensions of himself than another living organism...and what was up with those mewling/squeaking noise they made? That was just stupid. In fact, his chatting to the arms...reminded me a lot of the relationship that hosts had with their symbiote costumes. (Aka Venom)

3. Doc Oc shrugging off Spideys punches. What? Octavius is just a normal fat guy, that's all. His tentacles are super strong though, each one being able to lift 3 tons if I am not mistaken. Otto was the first villian that Spidey was not able to beat straight away, he could never get close enough to hit him...because all it would take to knock him out is one punch!!! (As has happened in lots of issues) but in this film, Spidey (who is strong enough to hoist a tank over his head in the comics and in the film, stops a runaway train.) punches him full on...without even knocking him out?

4. Otto is instructed to find Parker and ask him where Spiderman is, cos he is the key to getting him. So what does the genius scientist do? THROW A CAR AT HIM? Yeah, cos if I wanted to talk to someone I would try kill them first. THEN HE BURIES HIM UNDER RUBBLE???? Where is the logic?

The cool things about the movie were the little touches.

1 Peter's one armed lecturer is Doctor John Conners...aka...THE LIZARD!

2 Jamesons spaceman son becomes Moonwolf and later is in charge of rehabilitating super powered criminals

3 Bruce Campbell AKA Ash from the EVIL DEAD series of films as the usher in the cinema. This was probably my favourite part in the movie.

4 Stan Lee saving a woman from falling rubble

5 Matthew Perry AKA Chandler from Friends, buying a newspaper.
