Crown of Stars: Other Powerful Stand-Ins

I hope you don't mind Kelpie... but I'm using quoting you from a different thread.

Quote:
And also, going by what I know of Kate/Alis herself, the more she loves her characters the more she beats them up, so why shouldn't the same be true for some of her more powerful "stand-ins" as well?
Talking with a friend concerning Alain and read her Kelpie's remark (see quote above) and we started talking about some of the other characters in the Crown of Stars Series. Alright, we pretty much know where Liath, Sanglant and Hanna go and do as far as other powerful 'stand-ins' goes. But what about Ivar and his band of boys??? Or some of the other powerful 'stand-ins' in the story. We talked about Ivar. He has only wanted to help others and for some reason he keeps getting shot down, much like Alain, but not to that extreme. Any thoughts about him??? Anyone???
