Re: The Burning Stone - The missing fifty pages I would love to tell you more... but I don't know if you would be very happy with me or not. It could be a spoiler and I have a friend who tells me about the books she reads (LE Modesitt) and now I don't need to read them, she tells me too much and I truly am annoyed with her. And I do tell her to shut up, but she keeps talking... Alain is my all around fav, but Rosvita is the best! King Henri annoyed me and so does Liath at times. Anyways... I'm rambling.

Re: The Burning Stone - The missing fifty pages Poor Zacharias... Yes, they are rather dull, but very informative. Gives plenty of insight of what's going on with the Aoi, very subtle though. What did you think of the meeting of Liath and Alain? And those dogs...

Re: The Burning Stone - The missing fifty pages Mmmmm.... good question, and that has been a raging debate on Kate's forum. Many have asked if she is friend or foe... The cover of the last book is of Alain and her... I don't know the answer to your question and my opinion would give away some info you haven't read yet...

Re: The Burning Stone - The missing fifty pages She kept him from entering the church. She kills whereas he can not kill. She elevates him for what purpose? She could use anybody? Why him? Unless she is his ancestor.... he is her blood. In this way they are connected.

Re: The Burning Stone - The missing fifty pages Does she elevate him? Could she have used anybody? And Yes, indeed, why Alain? Why did she pick and make Alain swear an oath to her? And just so you know... The Lady of Battles is the saint of barren and chaste women. So it is very unlikely that she is his ancestor. I'm surprise you haven't mentioned the rose. ![]()

As for her being the saint of barren and chaste women, I'm still toying with the idea of an immaculate conception. Can't get much more chaste than that. | |

Re: The Burning Stone - The missing fifty pages Hmmm.... I hate to go into details with Lacey not finished with the story... but I don't agree with you Arya... I think the Lady of Battles is a foe of Alains'. And there is much more involved with her and The Lord and Lady and the spheres of the heavens... but what the connection is, I'm not sure... I do think that this part about the Lady of Battles might be their own thread... if that's possible Lacey. ![]()
