The Vance and Tepper are both good. I'm taking an educated guess that they're Masterwork editions. Laird Barron I've been planning on getting, so your thoughts on that one will be of particular interest to me. Lindqvist I'm not familiar with at all.

I too ordered Rivers of London, but over here in the States, they call it Midnight Riot with a terrible cover. Heartstone (Matthew Shardlake #5) by C. J. Sansom Lady of Quality by Georgette Heyer

| Re: Book Hauls! The Road - Cormac McCarthy. I hate this book, but had to buy it as this was the quite scarce 1st ed 1st impression. Hopefully, I'll get a few quid for it at ebay and be able to buy some good stuff. Time Snake & The Superclown - Vincent King. Not really familiar with this author apart from The Candy Man, but it looks really rather good. Plot defies description. Horror Literature - Marshall B Tymn. Should be useful as, thanks mostly to this forum, I have developed a burgeoning interest in ghostly matters. The Martian - George Du Maurier. Looks horrible, want to take it back to the shop. |

| Re: Book Hauls! When The People Fell, Cordwainer Smith: this is the 2nd volume of Baen's collected works of Smith, which means I'll have to wait a few more days until the first one arrives to plunge into it... |

![]() That's another excellent haul Fried Egg! Little BIG is a GREAT novel IMO and should have more airplay here being one of the best post-war Fantasy novels ever written that truly showcases Crowley's considerable literary skills. Anubis Gates is also very good, Powers' obvious dedication to researching his subject matter and ability to make a convincing fist of the time period the novel is set in a key highlight, albeit a lot of Powers fans seem to prefer Drawing Of The Dark.

| Re: Book Hauls! Majestrum: A Tale Of Henghis Hapthorn (Book 1) by Matt Hughes Which was very cheap in a swedish online site and i was low on SF. I dont buy new books online but this is an exception. Matt Hughes is the best Vancian writer there is, all the other ones are not as good inspirations as they tried in Songs of Dying Earth. |
