Re: Book Hauls!

Ursula K. Le Guin's Annals of the Western Shore trilogy: Gifts, Voices and Powers, with the same, nice set of covers.

Re: Book Hauls!

Every time I see someone reading another title I own (Le Guin trilogy) but haven't yet read I grow a little sadder....

Someone get me a time machine...

Re: Book Hauls!

Both these books, including the ridiculously good conditioned Ballard, cost sixty-nine cents each at Value Village. Throw in a little tax and the total came to $1.50 even.

Re: Book Hauls!

Richard Powers did the Ballard cover. It's got a desolate creepiness that really appeals to me.

You're going to have to pick up Tepper's Northshore book as well. It won't make sense otherwise.

Re: Book Hauls!

Yeah a lot of these are parts of series. So I'll have to collect the previous versions before I consider reading them

There are only two books in this one, so you only have to find the other, or the omnibus edition.

Re: Book Hauls!

Novelty (Four Stories) - John Crowley
Never read this guy before but at ~2$ for a decent condition book (and after consulting with knivesout), it seemed a worthwhile try. It will probably sit for a while in the reading queue.

Re: Book Hauls!

Wikipedia informs me: Novelty Bantam (1989); collects "The Nightingale Sings At Night", "Great Work of Time", "In Blue" and the previously published "Novelty".
