Re: Book Hauls!

Are you doing a reread OR, or are you reading them for the first time?

Lucky you! wish I could be reading The Storm of Swords for the first time (strongest in the series yet, saying a lot, this), 'cause it near blew my mind at the time! enjoy .

By the way, just picked up Graphic Novels:

Marvel 1602 (Hardcover), Neil Gaiman
Stardust, Neil Gaiman
Creatures Of The Night (Hardcover), Neil Gaiman
Books of Magic: Bindings, Jane Yolen, John Ney Rieber
Books of Magic: Summonings, John Ney Rieber & Peter Gross
Swamp Thing: Dark Genesis, Len Wein & Bernie Wrightson (the original first ten issues)

Cheers, DeepThought

Re: Book Hauls!

Not so much a book haul as a bargain. A copy of Assassin's Quest by Robin Hobb for only $AU5-

first read through - I tend to get distracted by other books all the time (malazan is looking evil at me for letting it fall behind GRRM)

Re: Book Hauls!

A very nice selection that, Marky. I read it a few years ago, and have been thinking about adding it to my list. A HUGE tome, by the way....

Re: Book Hauls!

I've just ordered:

Modesitt Jr. - Wellspring of Chaos
Modesitt Jr. - Ordermaster
Modesitt Jr. - Natural Ordermage
Erikson - Toll the Hounds
Ian C. Esslemont - Night of Knives
Ian C. Esslemont - Return of the Crimson Guard

The first three should be here by the middle of next week, as should the first Esslemont. The second Esslemont won't turn up until August, and the Erikson will be here at the start of July.

Can't wait!

Nope, my book was fine. A shame though that I didn't rate it that highly.

New haul:
The Blade Itself - Joe Abercrombie
The Amber Wizard - David Forbes
Lord of the Fading lands - CL Wilson
Lady of Light and Shadows - CL Wilson

But I'm already eye-ing up a few books on Amazon, eek.

That's a lovely little haul you have there. Have everything but Swamp Thing so could you tell me more about that one please? Am quite fond of the character.

Creatures of the Night is beautiful but very melancholy and I share my home with a black and white cat too, so I always worry about her being out at night.
