| Re: Book Hauls! Well, I just received the last of the Wordsworth books for the time being (until they put out the new Howard collection The Haunter of the Ring, anyway): Sweeney Todd; or, The String of Pearls (Anonymous) Couching at the Door (D. K. Broster) Children of the Night: Classic Vampire Stories (ed. David Stuart Davies) The Shadow on the Blind and Other Stories (Louisa Baldwin & Lettice Galbraith) Not Exactly Ghosts and Other Stories/Fires Burn Blue and Other Stories (Sir Andrew Caldecott) To the Devil a Daughter (Dennis Wheatley) Gothic Short Stories (ed. David Blair) and The Temple of Death: The Ghost Stories of A. C. & R. H. Benson On that last... I've read a few scattered pieces by the "other" Benson brothers before, but never been terribly impressed; they were entertaining, but lacked the "punch" of E. F. Benson's better supernatural tales. However, I've heard some good things about some of the selections here, so decided (especially at the price I got it for) to give this a chance).... |

| Re: Book Hauls! Indeed. With a lot of the "classic" supernatural fiction they're putting out, they are making available quite nice (if more ephemeral) editions of the material otherwise only available through such specialty houses as Ash-Tree Press and Tartarus Press, which produce beautiful books well worth having, but DO tend to be quite pricey.... |

| Re: Book Hauls! Recently found a new used book store in a nearby town and picked up an omnibus of the 10 volumes of Amber. I haven't read any of these yet, but I've had enough recommendations for them to be curious. |

Moon of Three Rings is one of my favorite Andre Norton books. There are several followups to that book, but I don't remember offhand what they are.

Hate to do this Mr. G, but shouldn't that be Xiccarph? At any rate, very nice books, and the Gallardo artwork is a decided plus....
