Re: The end of an era... I really enjoyed this series and thought that the scriptwriters deserve full marks for making the doc more three dimensional than he used to be. The oft referred to Time War and his part in it gave the whole show an element of pathos which (I felt) kicked it up the quality scale a bit further than the norm. I don't know how Tennant will be as the new doctor but I have high hopes ![]()

Re: The end of an era... I really enjoyed the finale and am gonna miss Eccleston, he remade the Doctor in such a way as to make him a believable character with so many levels, a tragic character indeed. Tennant may be a good Doctor, I liked his debut but he was only there for a few seconds. I also am curious as to why they left Captain Jack behind but then after a little conversation me and my mate guessed that Jack may have something to do with creating Time Agents (to stop anything like what happened from happening again) That could be why he had his memory erased, so he could do all this. I dunno. Anyone notice how quickly Micky appeared on the scene with the TARDIS? What's gonna be the story arc for the new series? I hope it involves cybermen and plenty of them!!

Re: The end of an era... They left Jack behind because they thought he was dead. Can anyone explain this Bad Wolf stuff to me properly? I didn't really get it, even when it was explained...

Re: The end of an era... My understanding of Bad Wolf was that when Rose merged with the heart of the TARDIS she basically transcended time and space. Bad Wolf was like a load of interstellar 'post its' that she left to remind herself - the most important being the graffitti she saw in the final episode which encouraged her to get back to the Doctor and therefore put into play her symbiosis with the TARDIS. At least that's what I think it was ![]()

Re: The end of an era... I thought it was a brilliant last episode, and very much enjoyed it Eccleston as probably been the best Dr Who I've seen and it's hard to think anyone can follow his performance to be honest.

The last series was really good so if it's the same team making it I don't think there should be too many problems. | |

Re: The end of an era... it was ok the series, i thought the darleks looked a little corny hovering around space, but apart from that the last episode was good. as for the next series there will be no darleks, so it could be a bit boring

Re: The end of an era... Why did she only bring Jack back to life??? What about all the people killed by the daleks over the centuries??? I really liked that last episode... Shame that Christopher Eccleston left - he was a fantastic Doctor... David Tennant was great in Casanova, however whether he brings that to this role is another matter... And what is wrong with a black Doctor or a woman??? ![]()

All those millions killed by the Daleks are, obviously, not due to reappear in Dr Who for some time ![]() | |

Re: The end of an era... HAHAHAH!!! And there will be a HUGE population explosion if they were brought back to life across the span of time and space!!! ![]() I think Rose might use Jack as a link back to HER Doctor... 'Cos we know what happens when the Doctor regenerates, he can be "strange"... Look at the change from Peter Davidson to Colin Baker... Didn't he strangle Peri???
