| That's a good suggestion Ray, and in the same vein I think Ian Holm could be quite good - I am thinking of his role in The Fifth Element here as a pointer. We all know he can do serious too, but SciFi farce worked pretty well for him in that film, not that I am saying Dr Who is farcical, just that Holm is pretty versatile.
What about some younger people? Or do you think that going in that direction would be just plain wrong?

But what about someone like Ewan McGregor? Okay, I know he is a bit too much of a mega star, and it isn't that likely, but I think he would probably do a good job.
