Edit: Yes, he should figure out the ship, but now they need to find a place for Clark to safely hide/explore the ship. He can't use the storm cellar anymore.

True he does need to find somewhere else to hide the ship.

Of course... I don't think that they ever "discovered" that the soil in the cellar was bad - something to avoid.

The soil as many things will be put on the back burner, like will he ever FLY!!!!!
