Re: Batman Begins!

I am not too sure but I believe Alfred had share or something in it, remember the 'Rolls Royce' line, and I would say Fox would have some shares in it, he may have gotten the majority of it through them.
Plus he inherited a lot of money from Wayne Enterprises, although that went to Alfred I think.

(this is just from memory, someone may know better)

Someone believes 2 employees (not even direct heirs) have sufficient funds stashed away to buy the bulk of a multi-million dollar enterprise)? I believe Alfred says to Bruce in the film that it is (Thomas?) Wayne's philanthrophy towards Gotham city that has led to the depreciation of the Wayne empire's capital...surely he wouldn't keep the money away from young 'mawster' Bruce?

Re: Batman Begins!

I believe it was Wayne Industries (basically Bruce's inheritance) which was getting sold for lack of running capital. If the will had that amount of liquid assets going the reappearance of Bruce would have immediately negated the need for a sale. And I doubt Thomas Wayne in the will put out more money for his butler than for his son.

Bruce left everything to Alfred in his will.

Re: Batman Begins!

Saw Batman: Mask of the Phantasm yesterday...90's animated film by the people behind the series on TV...pretty good, although the "surprise" it tries to pull can be predicted a mile off. It showed in Bruce's flashbacks some of the aspects also covered in BB, like his early crimefighting escapades and the discovery of the batcave.

And people, please stop with the lame explanations of how Alfred had the money. Nobody in his right mind would make a will where the solid businesses and the money would be separated. If Wayne Industries did not have the money, nobody had it.

Re: Batman Begins!

I saw the movie last night. And it's the best movie for me this year. I loved the cast and the story. I loved Keaton, but Christian Bale did a hell of a good job, too.

For those who didn't see it, I recommend to go and see it with open eyes. Don't try to make associations with the other Batmans during the show. Hollywood don't spoil us with to many good productions lately, so enjoy this one.

If I see another one with the line "I have to call the President", I'll throw my TV away.

Not really sure what your problem is here. A guy dresses up as a bat to fight crime after learning the ways of the ninja from some secret Tibetan society, and you're worried about the legal/financial ramifications of the guy's will? Bruce left it to Alfred in his will. Says so in the film. So... does it matter beyond that?

Who gives a sh*t?

Re: Batman Begins!

Hahahaha...nothing really, just that so many people have been marvelling over how much more believable this Batman is since it takes the pains to tell you that "Look, he had some guy building all his gadgets for him"

Re: Batman Begins!
