i think at Tarmon Gai'don that instead of Rand dying at the slopes of Dragonmount, i reckon he is going to destroy the Dark one and then he will lose all memory of who and what he was, becoming a begger. Any thoughts? Last edited by Aieland; 3rd June 2005 at 04:12 PM. Reason: spelling mistake

Re: what is going to happen in the end? Well however reluctant Robert may be, eventually he's going to have to stop, i am only half way through The Fires of Heaven, and i have just read the synopsis for book 11 and all the things in book five are still going on to then!!!! it's so discouraging but i suppose i had better read it, though i really hate the bits about Perrin because he is so boring and i dont like Faile. Anyone agree or disagree?

| Re: what is going to happen in the end? IIRC two more books (twelve total). Having read to book ten, I don't see how he can wrap it up in say 1800-2500 pages without leaving readers feeling a bit cheated. The pace through books 2 to 10 is rather slow, mainly due to his incredible detail and there are too many storylines to wrap up and guide everyone to Tarmon Gai'don at the appointed time. Heck, I'ld feel cheated if the actual event took less than 100 pages itself, and 50 or so pages of afterglow.. er, that is to say, follow-up detailing what everybody does afterward. | Re: what is going to happen in the end? I too have problem seeing how he's going to wrap it all up in just two more books... On the other hand, he has said that he won't wrap everything up. Some small threads will be left, as to imply that the characters will still have lives after the series ends. |

Re: what is going to happen in the end? I too hate Faile, and I used to really like Perrin until he became caught up with her. My feeling is that one of Rand's ladies will die, because having all 3 of them live happily ever after seems too far of a stretch. And my money will be on Min dying because she's had more time with Rand than any of the others (in a romantic capacity at least).

Re: what is going to happen in the end? I read at Tor publishing yesterday that there will be one more book after this one coming out. They also have the cover art shown for Knife of Dreams. the address is http://www.tor.com/jordan/medai.html I think that if Cadsuane is going to teach Rand to laugh and cry again and Alivia is going to help him die, then it will actually be Lews Therin that finally dies at Tarmon Gai'don. I got to read some of the chapter titles from Knife of Dreams that were released. And just to speculate, I think that Moiraine is going to reappear (being released from the Aelfinn and Eelfinn).

Re: what is going to happen in the end? I despise Faile's Character. And Min had a viewing if you recall that Aviendha will have four babies at once. "but there was something odd, though all the babies would be healthy"? I think Aviendha will die in child birth. That's really sad.

Re: what is going to happen in the end? Methinks 'tis obvious that Morraine will re-appear; there have been enough hints dropped about such. I despise many characters in these books, in fact I do not believe that I like any of them. Is anyone aware of how many prequels there will be?

Re: what is going to happen in the end? There's supposed to be 3 in total. We've had one of them... the second is supposed to be about how Tam finds Rand and decides to bring him home. The third will be about how Moiraine and Lan come to find the Dragon Reborn in a little Two Rivers village. I took it for granted that Moiraine would return at some point (though I didn't think it would take so long). Only Gadalf's return was ever more obvious.

Re: what is going to happen in the end? More than a little. And it matters because I don't want to spend hours of my life reading about her. She has a false sense of superiority, and there's not really anything interesting about her, unlike most of the other characters. She just aggravates me.
