A nice hot bath

Well, after being most of this week without any form of hot water, the issue was finally fixed late no Friday afternoon.

It's soooo nice to have a nice relaxing hot bath when you haven't been able to have one for a while.

Funny how easily we take take all those little things for granted in our lives sometimes - and how much we can really appreciate them again when we experience them after a while of not.

Absence makes the heart grow fonder?

And vive little comforts!

Re:A nice hot bath

Just had another. Oh, the joys of nice hot water on cold days - espeially when you've just dug over the entire back garden! (It isn;t very big anyway - but did take a couple of hours.)

Re:A nice hot bath

It is amazing what we take for granted these days! If I didn't have 'fridge to hold all my milk and cheese and leftovers, I don't know what I'd do!
Hot baths are great! Right up there with clean shhets and towels for making you feel good...

Re:A nice hot bath

Well, as the weather is getting cooler, hot baths are certainly becoming fashionable again.

The only problem with baths is that they take too much time...showers are much quicker.

But sometimes...you just have to soak...

Re:A nice hot bath

Wouldn't it be great to have a big walk in bath tub....the type that is set down into the floor and almost big enough to qualify as a small pool???

Absolutely! And surrounded by Greek columns...

Showers are fun as well - it's just we don't have one!

Re:A nice hot bath

I vote we build our own commune consisting of large bathtubs! LOL
We each get our own tub, complete with TV and bookshelves.

Re:A nice hot bath

What I love about reading this thread on a night is that it reminds me to have one.

Btw - my youngest daughter - Skye (about 20 months old now) absolutely loves baths. Tell her she's having one and she'll start to scream with excitement. You place her in the bath and she'll sit there and just keep splashing. Luckily she's stopped crying when she comes out of it now. She simply loves water. Always has.

I think that makes for confirmation that baths are great things.

Alright...hold on. Your daughter has an EXTREMELY cool name. Without the "E" at the end, it's the exact same name of the main character in my major book project.

Re:A nice hot bath

We named her after the Isle of Skye in Scotland, where we had a holiday once (we were supposed to conceive her there, but things didn't quite work out).

I can't even remember at the moment what the name is supposed to represent in the Gaelic.

Sky is a very cool name for a character, though - very evocative.

Re:A nice hot bath

I mean, you say her name just like "sky", right?
