Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

I see the trailers out:

http://www.apple.com/trailers/wb/har...egobletoffire/

Looks pretty damn good... Wonder if this will be any closer to the book... Nah, probably not...

Re: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Looks pretty good. I think it might, but each scene will be alot shorter then in the book. Order of the Phoenix is going to be harder.

Hmm. I prefer to see the entire movie and then pronounce myself on it. Do you know when can we expect at the cinema ?

I'm looking forward to seeing this movie, as I felt the books in the series began to improve by this one And so far the movies have been entertaining.

Re: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

this was my fav book of the potter series to date so it should be a good film as long as its not done by the bloke who directed the 3rd film because i thought he really messed it up. like the fact that the castle grounds in the 1st and 2nd film where flat and well cut, and in the 3rd it was on the side of a mountain and with dracos side kicks one was changed with someone who looks nothing like him.

Re: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

It was directed by Mike Newell, so you don't have to worry about that part...

Although when I think that "Four Weddings and a Funeral" was also directed by Mike Newell, I wonder should we be worrying in a different direction?

Re: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

i love the Harry Potter series, a tie b/w Prisoner of Azkaban and Order of the Phoenix for my fave, but I cannot stand the movies. I feel that they are not movie material because they are so long and have so much good detail that if you miss something in the movie, the movie is out of wack. much like that long run-on, no wait i fixed it lol.

Hated all the movies like the grumpy person I am. I'll see this one, just so I'll have something to moan about

Why do you hate them ? I had a lot of fun watching the previous one.

Re: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

I gave up on these films when people raved about the third after it had missed out ALL THE FRIGGIN PLOT POINTS!!! Seriously. Nowhere did they say anything about the map-drawing crew... it just assumed you knew the story.

I might go and see this one, but I'm not hopeful

Re: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

it actually looks ok
I have no problem with the Harry Potter movies - they're based on childrens books, the movies are targeted to a young audience and they love it. If some grownups like it too then its a bonus.

I've been forced to watch many, many crappy kids movies and at least I can watch these without sneaky a book & torch into the cinema

(but the second movie for me was the best so far.....I seem to have this thing about liking the 2nd movie in trilogies - Two Towers, ESB & Aliens for example )

We'll see what happens... I'm sure that there will be a review showing all the negative points...
