| That old type of novel - the ones considered "vintage" and come in bags What are they called? They come in clear bags that fold over the top and are taped shut, a bit like a comic book bag. They are usually all the same size. Almost small enough to fit in a large pocket. Is there a name to them? |

If you are looking for the terms used for them today, as collectors' items, that varies, from simply "collectible" to "rare" to such descriptive terms of the period as "pocket-books" etc. |

| Re: That old type of novel - the ones considered "vintage" and come in bags I have my doubts that plastic bags make any real difference to acid degradation, but they do help to preserve the covers, and probably help the resale value. Suspect that storage in a cool dark dry place is the main thing. |
