Recommendation please for bloodthirsty sci fi apocalyptic epic!! - Science Fiction Fantasy Chronicles: forums

Hi all,

Just put a similar post elsewhere but guess it's suitable for here too......

Could anyone think of and recommend a comic or graphic novel that involves something along the lines of humanity meeting aliens that want to or do destroy humanity.

Kind of like the tv series "V" but preferrably much more apocalyptic?
I guess something along the lines of "V" combined with "Aliens" would go a long way to describe what I'm looking for.

I'm looking for something dark, bloodthirsty, violent and epic.

Suggestions welcome.......

I think i read a review for this and if I recall one guy travels to an alien planet that is threatening earth and starts kicking butt. (could be totally wrong)

I just started Shrapnel, its set in human colonized solar system with interplanetary battles. Not very bloody or any aliens yet, but beautifully illustrated and lots of explosions.

Planetoid... maybe? lone guy tramping around beating crap up on strange planet

also A Beautiful Death, has everything you want except bloodthirsty

Just finished The Ten Seconders which definitely comes under this category. Enjoyed it too
