Is the Chrons Software an Embarrassed England Supporter?

I simply can't see the (current) last page of the Euro 2012 thread, whatever I do:
  • I selected Go To First New Post from User CP: was directed to the penultimate page;
  • I selected page 3 (I'm set to see 30 posts to a page): I was directed to the penultimate page;
  • I selected > (got to next page): I was directed to the penultimate page;
  • I went to the main forum page and clicked on alchemist's post (which should be on page 3): I was directed to the penultimate page.
I'm confused (and likely to be seeing page 2 of that thread any minute now).

I've no problems seeing the last page -- which is now page 5 (alchemist's post of 11.19 last night). I've just gone through an I can see p3 as well as all the others. I'm using IE if it's important.

Your page 5 is my page 3. (You've obviously maintained your original setting of fifteen posts per page.) The first post on that page should be post#61.

By the way, the problem is still there. However, after logging out "yesterday" (i.e. very early this morning), I was able to access that page. (By then, it was page 5: guests get the default page size of fifteen posts.)

What I might try and do later - I have to be off soon - is try to post in that thread when logged out and find out whether I can still see that page after I've been asked to log in (in order to allow me to post).

I hadn't noticed a Euro 2012 thread on the new posts at any point over the past few days :-)

Yep, you're right. (I thought 2 pages overnight was a bit odd!!)

It may be a caching issue with you having non-default settings.

What may be a better idea is to keep to the default number, and then see if the issue repeats itself.

I hadn't got round to testing, either by logging in while in the middle of trying to post, or by changing my default setting.

I can't do either, now, as the problem seems to have resolved itself.

You are not supposed to get your new laptop from an antique shop Ursa. I know your friends have often said you still have a ten-bob note in your wallet but come on - thee pounds, five shillings on a computer!

Sort yourself oot

Re: Is the Chrons Software an Embarrassed England Supporter?

It isn't a laptop; it's one of those all-in-one jobs, with a biggish screen and an i5 (albeit a dual core one).

It is, though, running Windows 7 and IE9, which may be contributory factors.

(I last saw a note with a value equivalent to ten-bob in the Isle of Man in the mid-70s: they had 50p notes there.)

Has it got a wind-up handle?

The Isle of Man hasn't progressed far from the 1970's - I think they dropped the 50p note, though still have £1 notes ...
