Hello from Yorkshire

Hi everybody -

Just stumbled upon this place and it looks fantastic so I thought I'd register.
My name is Ben and I'm 29. I read a lot of sci-fi and fantasy (currently Wise Man's Fear) and watch as many tv series as I can find time for. I play the odd RPG as well.

Really looking forward to contributing here as it seems like a great community!

Thanks.

Re: Hello from Yorkshire

No, I think "welcome home" is probably quite accurate (unless he comes from Rotherham, of course). I suspect quite a number of newcomers don't realise that they came home when they get here, but the information filters in fairly fast.

Well, welcome in lad, don't stand on ceremony, make thiself at 'ome; what's thy tipple?

Sheffield actually - close to Rotherham! I spent most of my 20s living in the US though.

Thanks for the welcome guys.

Re: Hello from Yorkshire

As hw notes, you are formerly of Sheffield. You are now of here. Escape is futile, sleep is forfeit, sanity relative (which is not to cast aspersions on the mental state of your relatives!), social life encompassed (or perhaps, en-compressed), and hygiene in danger.

What's that? You didn't see the disclaimers card at the door? What door?

Welcome, then. May many happy hours here be yours.

My supply of Henderson's Relish is almost depleted.

I was a student there for three years... before the filled in the Hole in the Road.

Re: Hello from Yorkshire

Hi and welcome aboard. If you meet a large spider advising you to hand over any pringles about your person, just remember that - despite the customs hat jostling for position with the cat who normally rides around on her head - she has no official position.

She just likes pringles.
